Management Training for leaders who are done with theory

Most management courses hand you a binder and wish you luck. We put you in the room with nine other managers, run live scenarios pulled from real Australian workplaces, and make sure the skills transfer before you leave.

How our method works

We replaced the lecture-and-slide model with a four-phase cycle that mirrors how adults actually learn complex interpersonal skills.

Phase 1 — Diagnostic mapping

Before the program begins, every participant completes a structured self-assessment and collects confidential feedback from three direct reports. This gives us a baseline that is specific, not generic. We identify the two or three management behaviours most likely to shift performance for each individual, so no one wastes time practising skills they have already mastered.

Phase 2 — Live scenario labs

Over three intensive days, your cohort works through scenarios drawn from real organisations in mining, government, health and professional services across the Northern Territory. You practise difficult conversations, delegation under pressure, and cross-cultural communication with trained actors and facilitators who give you blunt, frame-by-frame feedback.

Phase 3 — Workplace transfer sprints

Back at your desk, you apply one targeted behaviour change per week for five weeks. Each sprint includes a 20-minute peer coaching call with another cohort member and a written micro-reflection submitted to your facilitator. This is where most programs fail — we do not leave you alone with a workbook.

Phase 4 — Impact review

At the eight-week mark we re-survey your direct reports using the same instrument from Phase 1. You receive a comparison report showing exactly what shifted, what held, and what needs continued attention. Your organisation gets an anonymised cohort summary so the investment is visible at board level.

Programs we run

Each program follows the four-phase cycle but targets a different stage of the management journey.

Custom organisational cohorts

We bring the entire program in-house for organisations with eight or more managers who need to move together. Content is tailored to your sector, your strategy documents, and the specific friction points your HR team has identified. Pricing depends on scope and travel requirements.

Questions people actually ask

Weekend seminars compress content into a short burst and rely on motivation to carry you through Monday. Our eight-week structure spreads learning across real working weeks so you practise each skill in your actual environment, with peer and facilitator accountability built in. Research consistently shows that spaced practice outperforms massed practice for complex skill development.

The three-day scenario lab is always in person — the interpersonal intensity cannot be replicated on video. However, the five-week transfer sprints and peer coaching calls happen remotely, so you only need to travel once. For custom organisational cohorts outside the Northern Territory, we travel to you.

Yes. We issue a certificate of completion with documented learning hours. Many participants use this toward CPD requirements in their professional associations. We also provide a detailed program outline your L&D team can attach to internal training budgets or grant applications.

We offer a full refund if you withdraw before the end of day one of the scenario lab. After that, partial credit toward a future cohort is available on a case-by-case basis. We have a candid pre-enrolment call with every participant specifically to reduce the chance of a mismatch.

At the eight-week impact review, direct reports re-rate their manager on the same behavioural indicators used in the diagnostic phase. A participant counts as "improved" if at least one indicator moves up by a full point on a five-point scale. The 94% figure comes from cumulative data across all public cohorts since 2020, covering 680 participants.
